Do you count online meetings as meetings?

I'm newly sober and want to attend some meetings but my anxiety is really bad still. I sat in on an online meeting tonight which was great. Do you count that as going to a meeting or not really?

Anything to help maintain your sobriety sure why not??

Many years back, myself and a member from Alberta chatted with each other one winter night. She lived 30 or so miles out and she had a blizzard outside.
I know of several people in the military that have used online meetings over seas.

Thanks!

I hope I get good sleep so I can go to a meeting meeting tomorrow. I'm coming up to 40 hours awake but just can't fall asleep.

How can I get on a on-line meeting?

I've been attending them every day this week. I find them really helpful to pull me out of complete isolation. They are helping me to flirt with the idea to go to a face 2 face meeting. I am grateful the online meetings exist.

Btw, one thing to keep an eye out for are trolls. There have been a few today, so I don't think I'll be using the private message option anymore during or after meetings. It can really throw you off if you're having a trying day.

a troll is someone who goes online just to eff with people

so people on AA meetings who are trolls aren't actually addicts, they just go online to "troll" with people i.e just mess with them
