Messed up

Almost two weeks and I caved. This morning.

Really bad case of insomnia and up all night with some stomach virus. Why anyone would choose that day to drink is beyond me.

I've just had one glass.

Day 1 again

Don't beat yourself up, needinghelp. I've always found being ill a trigger for some reason, too But you've come right back on here and pledged again, so good for you.

Get some sleep if you can and before you know it, you'll be on day 2 ♥x

In AA one of the major things to be overcome is self-pity, and it is one of my big problems as well. It bites me all the time. I don't engage in long-suffering woe-is-me sessions like I did when I was drinking daily though.

Progress, my friend. Glad you're here.

Day 3 Again

I know that You can do it! I'm still struggling with my most recent drunken night, but it is getting better. We can both do this!

Needinghelp... you came back here, and that's a great thing. I felt awful after my last slip up too, but try not to let it get you down too much. We're all here for you.

Thanks again.

I need to stop beating myself up. I slipped up but didn't drink the bottle. That's progress for me! Sounds pathetic

Sounds pretty amazing to me. How many people wouldn't have finished off that bottle?? Nice job! If you have the resolve to get rid of the bottle you have the resolve to not get the bottle in the first place next time. You can do it!

It isn't pathetic at all. In the midst of engaging in a behavior that is harmful, you recognized you still have a choice, and chose not to continue. That is ALWAYS a good thing. You brought it back. Good work.

We all have to start somewhere. Don't measure your chapter 1 by someone else's chapter 20.
