Day 2

Feeling a bit better today, although tired because I didn't sleep well last night ... insomnia, sweating, all that lovely stuff that goes along with detox. I spent a big part of yesterday re-reading my old posts and threads on here, trying to figure how to stay the course this time.

I know that I need to arm myself a lot better to deal with the roller-coaster ride that is ahead. Thankfully, there are a lot of great resources on this site. And a lot of support!

Glad to hear you're feeling better hokey. You never have to go back to that miserable life.

I truly despise the person that I become when I have a few drinks. I don't want to be that person ever again.

Hokey, 2 days sober is FANTASTIC, congratulations. When all else fails, just suffer through the cravings, urges, and temptations, all the mental junk goes away with time. Rootin for ya.

A better sleep is not to be tonight, it seems. Ah the joys of early recovery insomnia ...
