2 weeks sober!!!
I finally hit the 2 week mark! I won't lie, the last 2 weeks have been hell due to withdrawals, but it's so worth it. I'm still feeling some ill effects (can't sleep, sweats, fatigue, etc) but staying hydrated and lots of green tea and vitamins seem to help. Also, this is my first day off work in 12 days so feels good to just relax and take a load off.
I wish everyone out there who's quitting luck! I feel very blessed as so far I really haven't had any urges to drink, other than the initial boredom and loneliness (which is why I drank to begin with...killing time and escaping). I love being sober and can't wait to start working out again!

Glad to hear that it is going well, JT; physically, you are likely over the worst; the lack of sleep, sweats and fatigue will lessen with time.
As you have most likely read on the threads, stopping drinking is just the first step in sobriety. Learning how to live a sober life is the next. Stay close to SR; there are so many wise people here to help you along the way.
Congratulations on two weeks, JT.
