Let's Play "One Good Sober Thing":

here's a little game I'd like you to join me in. I hope this thread grows and grows, so join in if you will please.

The game is simple - you come in here and offer "One Good Thing" about being sober. Because One Good Sober Thing Leads To Another.

We get more of what we focus on.

Today is a great day to be sober.

One Good Sober Thing;

The golden glory of a sunrise, with a clear hear, open heart, well-rested with a smile.

Feeling free from the guilt and shame of getting wasted the night before and hurting my loved ones and myself.

Great thread FreeOwl!

One good sober thing:

I am 100% accountable for my actions.

7:45am on Saturday and I'm drinking coffee instead of sneaking a couple beers to cure a hangover.

I have a habit of misplacing my glasses when drunk, no problem finding them sober

Morning jogging in the forest as a start of the day instead of hangover and self-pity.

One good thing about being sober is that I can watch films right through to the end

Being 100% present with my husband and my kids last night while we had a family movie night. Not trying to hurry everything along and everyone to bed so that I could drink.

One Good Sober Thing:

Setting a good example for my kids through my actions, instead of hiding and sneaking how much I drank in hopes they didn't know.
