If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?

I know how scary it is NeedingHelp because I've been there too. My elevated liver enzymes were discovered from blood work for a non related issue. I also worried myself sick. Will be thinking of you.

I only ask b/c I'm wondering if that is something I should look into.
I saw a documentary where some British people were randomly given liver tests on the street. Many of them were surprised to find out they already had enlarged livers, even if they only binged on weekends, or didn't drink what they felt was an excessive amount. If you are a binge drinker or a daily drinker, I recommend you get checked out.

I also recommend that while you wait for your results, you take what you are feeling - the worry, the uncertainty, the stress - and bottle it. Then, the next time you decide to reach for a drink, remember that feeling. One of my favorite things about being sober is that I never have to worry about whether or not I'm damaging my liver or kidneys.

Hiya

Exactly :-) good for you guys , don't wait til your 40s and 50s like we did .

Life is short enough without erasing away 20 years of the best times of your lives and living with regrets.

Kudos xxx

I had one done in March. Levels were off the charts. But it had nothing to do with my drinking... there's a special test they can do to detect if the issues are alcohol related. My point is I'll bet you will be fine. My issue has to do with iron, not Scotch.
