Job Interview, need advice
I finally have a job interview today which is great.
I'm worried the person interviewing me is going to ask why I haven't worked since last August.
I spent 2 months in rehab, was home for 2 months, another month in rehab, and have been out since Feb. of this year.
I've been receiving EI and taking my time to find work.
Do I be honest and tell them I was spending time at a treatment centre? Or do I make up an excuse?
I don't want to be judged based on the fact that I was in rehab, but don't want to lie either.
What should I say if they ask?

In this economy, there are a lot of people who haven't worked since August. Heck, I was out of work for a year myself. In my case, I "took some time to do some traveling". Which was indeed true. I'm sure you've traveled somewhere (visited family, whatever) since August. Just use that. No need to bring up addiction in an interview, trust me. They probably won't even ask. Don't over-think it! Good luck!
"taking my time to find work." I don't know what field you are in but taking time to find the right fit for a job can be an answer to that question. Most employers want to know that you aren't applying just to get a job, any job. Least also has a good answer, that you were recovering from an illness. Put both together. I took my time to find work and I was ill and recovering. I don't think it is that unusual for someone to be unemployed and looking for a little less than a year.
Good luck on your interview!
