Heya Audra,
Was just about to update. 10:40 pm started day 5, still sober. Was a rough day at work and I will say there were times I was tempted. In my errand running this eve had to go by the liquor store several times, but I never stopped.
I had a thought tonight how much time I wasted drinking. Now that I am feeling better, its like I have alll this time to do stuff rather than sit on the couch with drink in hand and veg out.
It really is true, it does get better everyday.
You are all in my prayers and my thoughts. Be strong and take it one hour at a time.

Hey guys - congratulations. Keep us posted. I have been sober for ten months now and the first month was the hardest for me, but I was in outpatient treatment for six weeks.
Careful about driving by that liquor store, though. It was probably six months before I could bear to drive by my favorite one.
Just know that things are so much better without getting drunk (remember those hangovers)???? A drink sure never solved anything for me!!

Hello Team,
Wanted to run something by you all. I have been thinking about starting a post called "Newbie Roll Call". There are so many of us out here struggling in the early days of recovery and thought it might give us a central place to check in with each other and make sure everyone is ok.
What do you think?
