still shaking..

I have one week in again, but still shaking terribly. I would have thought all the WD's would be gone by now. WTH?

I think it's time to check with the dr, if you haven't done that.

Congratulations on a week sober.

I'd agree..time to see the doc. Probably just anxiety and your body adjusting, but no one here can tell you for certain.

Thanks for the replies....the Doctor is not an option unfortunately.

Your body chemstry damaged because of alcohol. Must eat well to repair it.

It is a long process. After three weeks, I still
have a noticeable tremor, makes typing a
B....! But nothing like it was at the beginning.

I'm taking 200mg of B-1 and a multi.
Eating two full meals, substituting
a nutrition shake for lunch.
Bananas for potassium.
Drinking plenty of water.

Hang in there, that ETOH does a big
number on our bodies, it takes time.

Can I ask why LE?

Dee... because he would get my drivers license revoked, and contact my employer who would then terminate me. Yeah, I sobered up on my own.

Dee74 05-18-2014 04:08 PM

I hope those shakes subside then LE.

Get a full panel blood workup right away and have a doctor take a look. I was surprised at how long it took me to write my signature in a legible manner again what with the shakes and all. Thankfully, my hands are in good shape with no permanent damage but I'm afraid I've got long term damage in the nerves in my feet. They can hurt something awful with shooting pains. Doc says maybe they will come back but most likely not.

I believe that a physician is required
to keep all patient medical information
confidential, until the patient authorizes
it to be released.

Chicagoin, it might be priviledged information where you live, but I have had this done to me before, it was a nightmare..Doctor really messed up my life for a few months.
