My small contribution to a significant day in history. I am going to quit drinking tomorrow and see where it goes. I even went so far as to look up the relevance of May 18th in history and want to use that as positivity to stick with my intentions.

May 18, 1756: The Seven Year War begins
May 18, 1860: Abraham Lincoln wins the Republican party presidential nomination.
May 18, 1910: Earth passes through the tail of Comet Halley
May 18, 1953: Jackie Cochran becomes the first woman to break the sound barrier.
May 18, 1969: Apollo 10 is launched.
May 18, 2014: Thirst For Life stops drinking.
