Well Deeker, I remember reading some of your many posts.

It really hurts to see you go, but I understand that some reach a point that sobriety is solid and balanced, nurtured.

For a newbie like me it hurts to see you go. Why? Because I envy you to be honest.

Your wisdom will be missed, time to let go is ok ;-) we will stick togheter, new leads like my friend Purpleknight will cary the sobriety help flame for you.

Brings me to say a sad thing not one I want. But Dee is not immortal, there will come a day that the legacy will need newcomers to lay the ground.

Dee nothing personal, but you are the foundation of SR.

Live long and prosper our friend.

Hi deeker

Re this:

If one single person was turned around because of it I will be very
grateful.
One single person? On the contrary, you have given many the strength that they needed in order to get through just one more day without picking up. There are many that will be forever grateful for the 24 hour thread, and for you. You were there helping us all through one day at a time. You gave us the strength, courage, and hope to do what we needed to do.

What you did also carried with it a lot of respect. Respect for the fact that if we committed ourselves to posting in that thread we knew that the decision had been made for us. That brought serenity and relief. You made some treacherous and scary days livable and doable.

We weren't playing around when we signed up for deeker's 24 hour club!!!!

You'll be sorely missed here. My heart is full for you that you've come to the point in your journey that it's time to move on. From what I remember Dee posting once that's pretty typical. You get glued here in the beginning and as the time goes by some begin to post less frequently. The sobriety muscles are well trained and we know how to jump those huge boulders on the path by ourselves.

Please know that you have been an integral part of my success on this journey. A piece of my heart will go with you. I do hope that you will pop in here once in a while to say hi to the gang.

You will be sorely missed and are greatly loved.

Thank you for everything that you have done for all of us.

Your friend in sobriety forever
Lisa
