Welcome to the forum Kimm,
Eight days is a great achievement, keep building on that . I am not sure what kind of pain you are going through as suggested by purple knight, if the pain persists see a doctor.
Keep reading and keep posting.
I visit this website daily and it has helped me greatly to stay sober.

I'm fairly new at this too. 9 days this time so far...I had 22 days sober, but slipped and drank for about 6 days then started over. I have been diagnosed with a fatty liver and mildly elevated ALT levels. Regarding the pain, I thought it was just more noticable because I'm not self medicating myself now. Just a theory that I had for myself. Reading the posts on this forum has been very helpful to me. Thanks to all of you for that. Wish me luck...I'm going to need it!
