My Dad just came by and brought me a hamburger..the first thing i've ate in a couple days. The question now is do I go to a detox center or home with him..

The local 'free' detox center i was referred to doesn't allow cigarettes. So on top of quitting drinking I have to quit smoking???

That is a personal choice. I would recommend going to which ever will give you the best chance of success.

In detox they will keep an eye on you medically.

I think the ones around here don't allow cigs either but will give you something to help you quit.

You can do it Hawk.....don't give up before the miracle happens-you can do this!

Go with your instinct on what you know will give you the best shot at recovering. Only you know. It does seem with the amount of alcohol that you have been consuming withdrawals are going to get bad. Medical care may be a must for you but again, you have to make the decision. Either way, praise God that your father is there for you. He does answer prayers Hawk:) rooting and praying for you my friend, you can do it! My faith keeps me strong and I don't know where you stand in that area but I can tell you He has never let me down in any aspect of my life, I let myself down. God bless you:) Oh and a I use the liquid vaporizers that have nicotine in them and they are a pretty good substitute for not being able to smoke. They also come in different flavors; pretty inexpensive:)

I'm really scared..I've lost a lot recently but I know I must see a dr. So I'm packing my bag for the unknown. No smoking or music allowed!!

Maybe you should see a doctor. Withdraw can be dangerous on your health.
