What are withdrawal symptoms?

I think I'm getting withdrawal symptoms after I drink, but am unsure what they actually are. I'm feeling worse and worse the day after, with anxiety/feelings of dread, heart palpitations and sweats etc. I used to only get these when I REALLY overdid it, but now I'm getting them more and more with less alcohol.

Now after doing some reading I'm worried about 'kindling'. I've been binge drinking for years and definitely exhibit some of the symptoms of kindling, such as memory issues and impaired decision making

Sounds like withdrawal to me. The overwhelming anxiety, the shakes, the sweating. If you start to feel worse, get medical help as alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous.

It means that your alcoholism is progressing and that you are on your way to becoming a daily drinker and starting with "the hair of the tail" in the morning just to be able to function. I hope you will stop right now before you get too deep in.
Today is a good day to quit
Why don't you join us at the 24 hours club where we commit not to drink or drug for the next 24 hours? It s a fun and supportive way to hold ourselves accountable and before you know it, those days do add up

This is the progression of your drinking.

Symptoms of withdrawal worsening on less alcohol, typical of Alcoholism.

I hope you decide to give sobriety a go,no need to keep feeling this way.
