Did not have to have a panic attack.

Day 6....yay. Just took my kids to school and drove down to the local supermarket to grab some groceries. Came around the last corner and the police were doing Random Breath Tests. What an awesome feeling to get pulled over and have absolutely nothing to worry about. Actually had a pleasant conversation with the police officer. In the past I would have been super panicking that I was still over the legal limit from last nights drinking. Just another positive reinforcement for me that came just at the right time.

Whew!

I like it that the police are my friends again no matter what time of day it is.

It's a good feeling to not get butterflies whenever you see a cop pull behind you or an upcoming roadblock. It took a couple of months for me to not get nervous every time I saw a cop because I was conditioned to fear them because I was usually in possession of drugs or had been drinking.

Stopping cars for breath tests in the morning? I wonder if they were specifically looking for alcoholics on the road.
