Joe...you're on the right path. Stick close, don't wander too much, and you'll have many, many, more celebrations. Alkies like you and me have to work two programs Joe. And we have to work them equally. Find the balance, know that everyday won't be a parade, nor will everyday be a dark cloud. I'm so, so glad I get to see this. See, you're helping others already!
Keep up the good work, Joe.
Keep up the good work, Joe.
Thanks again to all you beautiful people!
I am eating better, starting to get some sleep, and before you know it, I'll be able to interview for a job without getting panic attacks.
I am living proof that anybody can do this. I have lived 37 of my 52 years drunk, and on top of that I am Bipolar II. This is no cake walk, but if you work the program, it gets better. GEE! DID I SAY THAT

(((Talia)))
June 4th is the sobriety date. At this point I am not even really proud of what I have done. My life is still the same. No job, no meaning, lots of crying and depression and anxiety/panic due to the bipolar II.
I saw my pdoc yesterday and she says it could take many many years of work to undo the effects of booze. I am sober, but I have ruined my family. I wish I could be more optimistic, but things are not good.
I'll be around the boards from time to time, but I don't make a habit of posting anymore.
Stay happy Talia, cause when you're happy, nothing can take it's place. I used to be happy, probably when I was a toddler, but, I don't see it happening for me anymore.
Ciao for now!

Hi Joe...
I just wanted you to know you are in my heart and prayers.
Hey I posted a cool web page in the mental health forum.
It mainly deals with panic attacks and anxiety.
Basically it is a combination of Buddhist philosophy and their correlation to the 12-steps of recovery.
Here it is...
