Guilt is a terrible recovery plan.

I've used guilt to launch many a vow to quit drugs and drink. The same voice that tells us we can handle one or two is that same voice that sooths away our guilt.

You want to stay sober? Learn how to live and love life sober. Then sobriety is a reward, rather than a punishment for something you've done drunk.

That makes a lot of sense. I am new to this, and still learning. I will try to stay positive and focus on how great life will be. Thanks for the help, I welcome all suggestions!!

Yah! If guilt could have helped us get and stay sober, we would all have gotten sober a lot earlier in our drinking careers...
