I saw earlier that someone had terrible headache and just remembered what doc told me last week, water may not be enough to rehydrate, you also need some glucose drinks. I had bad headache earlier and did just that, it has eased off somewat now.

It could have been me. I'm on day 3 and in the past that would have been enough to start the serious withdrawal symptoms. I have been drinking sugary drinks and eating carbs, which I didn't before quitting. So far I have been ok so I guess it helps. Thanks for the tip!

Lets see how tomorrow goes.

Just chiming in with another precaution. Do make sure you do drink enough fluids period. I think most alcoholics are dehydrated to begin with but if you don't replace with water or glucose drinks what you have eliminated with quitting alcohol you could end up with a kidney infection. I didn't and ended up in the hospital for three days on IV drips of fluid and antibiotics because of it.

Ouch, thanks ruby2. I will keep that in mind. Day 4 starting today. Still feeling kinf of funny. I woke up at the middle of the night to go to the bathroon and it was great not feeling my head spinning
