New guy
I'm here looking for support with avoiding alcohol. Usually I don't have issues with purchasing or partaking, but once I do, I tend to binge drink and become not-so-pleasant. Alcohol use is prevalent among nearly all of my friends and family, so having a place to come and get support to NOT drink will (hopefully) prove helpful.

Welcome. You've come to a good place to get information and support on sobriety. For me coming back, reading posts, and participating were a HUGE help for me. I've been sober for a year now and without that this site I doubt I would have managed.
