New to site: Just saying hi

Hi, my name is Wayne I`m 41yrs old from Manchester, England. I had been drinking everyday for 23 years when I decided enough was enough. It was the nomal type of thing happening...loss of relatioships,freinds and family,trouble with the police and isolation from the world in general. I did a home detox(badly) and then spent 20 weeks in a residential rehab centre.I am now approaching 6months clean time from any substance and feeling great. If anybody wants to chat to me about recovery or just a chat please e-mail me anytime.

Hi Wayne! It's great to have you join us. 6 months is a wonderful achievement.

I drank for 30 years & was so afraid to let go of it (even though it was killing me). Sharing my thoughts here on SR has saved me. It's so good to no longer be in a fog.
