You could try some valerian root and hops (natural pills)
Not tried it myself, but heard it's effective for many
If you take medication, ask your doctor first about it
Excercise should also be good to get a good natural tiredness

I have tried natural remedies they just don't make me sleep lol I need 'made' to sleep and my doctor won't entertain me with pills either for anymore than 2 weeks.
Kind of angers me because a sleeping pill has far less dangerous qualities than alcohol.

I trick that works well for me is relaxing meditation music and I go back in my mind to a past time when I was happy.
For example, when I was young my mother would rent a cottage, we went fishing, swimming etc. it was one of the best time of my life. Going back there stops me from thinking of the bad in my life, and I eventually fall asleep.

I often use music it's about the only reason I'm not permanently insane. I can listen to it and work through my thoughts and sort them out - I don't know if it helps me sleep though but it gets me back in a calm state
