day 2 just about
 

I am on my second day. I havent had any terrible cravings thus far. However I am so thirsty and I can't sleep. I suppose I was sedating myself nightly and now I need to find a better way. Hopefully this passes.
My fiance offered to get me beer tonight after work and when I declined he asked if I felt ok. I think he doesn't see I have a problem. And quite honestly I'm more fun when drunk.

I'm not sure how to copy a section of a post yet so I'l just write it out.

Hi krabbypatty 'I'm more fun when drunk' might chance - I'm definitely more fun when I don't drink and am certainly better company in social occasions and enjoy myself more too. This is only Day 12 for me but I have had 6 years of sobriety in the past. That is how I really know 'the fun bit' is true for me.

I've had my first real urge today but I've resisted and I know I will be so happy later today and when I wake up in the morning. Day 2 is great and I also know it can be tricky living with someone who likes to drink. I feel so much better than I did on Day 1 and don't want to go back there.

Nice job! I find that I am more fun sober. It's kind of funny that I act pretty much the same drunk as I did sober. Only with more coordination.
