Welcome TT, awesome sobriety so far, if you could share some of your earlier experiences you could well help a whole lot of good people right here on SR.

Welcome, look forward to hearing more from you real soon.

When I was first getting sober, I did things people suggested, sometimes happily others not so happy..I especially couldn't wait until I had 90 days because I committed to do 90 in 90, and after 90 days I could stop going to meetings everyday,BUT something changed (Me) and I actually kept going to meetings, I always say my most important meeting was on my 91st day of sobriety

Sober since 1997. When Bill Clinton was president. Before Y2K. Wow, that is a long time to be sober. Congratulations. It is good to have you here. You clearly know how to "walk the walk".

You've been sober since before I had my first child! Wow, cool!! ;)

I'm only at 9 days, I'm sure there is tons I could learn from you!

9 days is great, just keep doing what your doing, and before long you'll have 10 days....ODAAT

TattooedTimmy 04-30-2014 11:38 AM

Some days I'll be sitting in a meeting thinking I have it all figured out, and someone with less then a week will say something that just blows whats left of my mind, cool thing about recovery for me is that I never stop learning

Wonderful to have you with us Timmy. I wish I'd gotten sober back in '97 - things would've been so different. :)

My avatar actually means a lot to my sobriety, for those not familiar with "Wharf Rats" , we are basically Dead Heads in recovery, we have meetings between sets of concerts by bands like Further , Rat Dog , Phil Lesh and Friends it of course started with Grateful Dead Shows
