This is a good place to get it out and talk to others, gain insights, and get great support. I do wish you well in your journey. I myself am on day 10 and like you, there is liquor in my house. My wife still drinks as much I did and I've been in the liquor store repeatedly to keep her stocked. It's not easy doing this while surrounded, not impossible (for me anyways), but definitely not easy. I think I've just reached the point where I've had it, get it away from me. As long as I refuse that first drink I will be fine.... also I don't like to lose, so I think that helps a bit
20 feet ,two miles, if you want it you'll get it.
I found it easier after failing of and on and only had drink in the house when my wife wanted a drink which is quite rare or people where staying.
Keep on here and if you need to change don't be afraid to change track it doesn't mean things are worse just that youve re written the risk assesment!
Good luck.
John.

Welcome to SR!
Personally I don't think there is no cut in stone solution. Everyone is different and you have to find your own sobriety recipe.
Well done by the way, surprised you are not having withdrawal. I think you have an incredible chance, like a Devine intervention based on the amount you mentioned. Hope you chat with your doctor about this.

Hey Reboot, just passing through, i spent a lot of time on here a few years ago. I have been sober over 2 years now... this community really works, just stick with it, stay strong. It does get easier, but like everything good in life, you need to put in the hard work at the beginning. I wish you well my friend.
