completly stuffed up

Well I'm in a bad place at the moment. I went 17 days no alcohol then broke it. I drank probably 2 bottles yesterday of wine. Went to the local shop near work this morning at 7am. Bought a bottle of wine and drank alot of it before work to get rid of the hangover. I don't know why I've been so bad with the alcohol this week. I'm sick of being an alcoholic.

Sorry to here it crlion. You went 17 days. What did you do to keep off it for those 17 days? Is there something you can do differently this time? Make out a plan and stick with it. Did you try meetings or anything else?
There is lots of support and help here. But you have to do the work. Make the commitment.
You can do this. Don't finish that wine, dump it out and say NO MORE!

Don't give up on yourself, try and think of anything that may have caused you to slip so you can avoid it next time.

The important thing is don't stop trying.

Welcome to the family. I was sick of being an alcoholic too. That's why I finally quit drinking, cause I was sick of it.

I hope the support here can help you get sober for good.

If you are an Alcoholic you cannot take the first drink, once you have it is game over, yet again.I did it for years and years.

Start again and stay away from that first drink.

I got to the point where I was drinking shooters of whiskey at 8am, so I know how you feel.
Even I knew by then I was headed down a dangerous path. And I was. I won't go into the gory details.

You've gotten some good advice. How did you stay sober 17 days?
What triggered you to drink?

It took getting sick of being a drunk for me to stop, too.
I hope you don't reach the lows I did. It wasn't even really living.

You can quit. Put it first in your life and put the effort you put into drinking into getting sober.
Best to you.
