Hi Rockstonic. welcome. Can you start a new topic for yourself? You will get more responses that way. Or hopefully a moderator can split this off for you. What's going on?

Is there a friend you can call to come over?
Do you think you may have to go to the hospital? Please don't hesitate. The people there are there to help you.

Be well.

My BF is coming home. Didn't want him to see me like this. Really really scared. How do you tell someone that you have a problem? Suddenly I think I do.

Welcome! Get rid of everything, start drinking some water, and next you should perhaps consider seeking medical attention and advice depending on how long, how much and how often you were/have been drinking. Withdrawals can be life threatening. And you've also come to the right place for support!

Rockstonic, pour out anything left and hydrate with water, and then be honest with your BF.

Stay around and you will find great support here.

I just had another drink. Super incorrigible. Scared my BF would throw it out. I was two weeks sober. I had an idea that this was a problem, but my inability to stop this weekend was a sure sign. I'm really far from my family. These posts are helping. Thanks guys!

Try to remember how you felt during those 2 weeks! Happier? Clearer? Rested? Next time you get an urge, stop and remember both how you feel right now, and how you felt sober. No contest.

There is so much support here. Is your drink all gone? If not, stop and get rid of the rest. It will not help matters.

I think honesty and asking for help may be a good place to start with your boyfriend. Is he supportive? Can he help you?

First take a deep breath and don't do anything drastic like quitting cold turkey without professional medical advice.

Try to calm down, talk to your boyfriend, try to be rational on how you can slowly and safely put the drink down. You can also walk in the ER if it will make you feel safer.

Deep breaths,

Welcome to the family. Get rid of the rest of the alcohol. Drink water and/or Gatorade. You might want to ask your doctor for help in getting thru withdrawal safely.

hey rock, the important thing is that you want to stop, when I was first trying to stop I found a thread here from a different forum that gives you tips on how to taper alcohol with alcohol, basically how to stop drinking by drinking! it worked for me, It took me a year almost to slow down from daily drinking to weekend only drinking, and now I haven't drank since February I think.

What are you wanting at THIS moment? From yourself? From your BF? From us? Think for a bit before you respond. What - do - YOU - want?
