It's a little blip. But how do you learn from it? You want to make sure that these little failures only happen once.

I quit playing Starcraft 2 for three months because I always got hammered playing.

So, maybe staying away from video games for awhile would help you get through this.

I'm glad you're back.

Thanks guys. Im happy for two reasons... A: I only drank three and didn't rationalize myself into further drunkenness? B: I legitimately feel guilty about it and though by definition, yes I failed, it is a miner fenderbender from which I can easily recover. In any event I felt it importsnt to acknowledge my mishap. Love your support... makes be waves and lengths stromger. talk soon

jvan, that's your AV telling you you deserve a reward. It doesn't make a bit of sense and takes away the feeling of achievement. You don't need to apologise to anyone but yourself.

There's no point in beating yourself up J.

It's probably good to look at what you were doing to stay sober tho - what things could you add to that to help you more?

I used to get that way playing my PS3, Especially Football. The console is now in a box.

I would not worry about it.

When sober I realized I don't enjoy game playing anymore for some reason.

I associate gaming with booze so it's not fun anymore. Time for new hobbies
