Deep breaths right!? My kids woke up early today so we are already pushing eachother's buttons. Are you checking in anywhere else on this site?

I watched Smashed recently about a girl named Kate. No kids in her life but still a moving story. Netflix has that "addicted" show available right now with different episodes. Scares the poo out of me. Nicholas cage's Leaving Las Vegas (sad ending). When A Man Loves A Woman. Flight. And that Saving Mr Banks had the addiction history in the dad and it made me sad. Have you seen any of those?

SoulKat and Thepatman what time is it where you are? How's it going?

Anyone using that 24 hour sign in?

I am only here on this site. Been looking at the threads in Fitness Health and Nutrition as I once was a runner. Well managed to complete a half marathon about a month ago. i imagine if I stop drinking it will be easier... And I need to start thinking about what I eat, feel bloated and fat, maybe if the quitting drinking gives results on ones appearance, it will serve as an extra motivator. Summer is coming..
I have seen Leaving Las Vegas, Flight and When a man loves a woman. Will look up the others.

I've heard that movie called Clean and Sober with Michael Keeton is good but I haven't seen it.

Also, there is a documentary on YouTube called Rain In My Heart. It's broken into maybe 10 mini episodes. Also scared me.

How are you doing Laura? Headed into evening!?

I just got my run on the treadmill in today.
I used to pride myself on still running most days after drinking the night before. Well yesterday I ran while pretty buzzed and nearly wiped out on the treadmill. So, so stupid. Why should I feel good about that?!

I'm trying to write/type out little scenarios like that to remind me of WHY I don't want to do this anymore!!!

"Requiem for a dream" by Darren Aronofsky is my favorite, I also love the soundtrack. Pretty disturbing though, I heard many people had to stop watching it in the middle.

I also love other movies made by Aronofsky, most of them have some kind of obsession as core there.

Hi Applekat, Hi Laura, all the best, stick with us there's a lot to learn off this site. It does get easier a the days and weeks pass by.

If you venture to 'women in recovery' there are a few wonderful, brilliant and if I dare say, a little bit crazy, in a nice way, lol.

This site in all makes you feel like one of the family, been a great help to me over the months.

Hope to see you both more often xx

Hey, it's okay, there is a lot of support and great people here who are more than willing to help out in any way they can. I just thought you two kinda got lost in conversation.
I was worried you might start talking about some behind the scenes kinda stuff...

Click on your NAME and go to your profile, click on send private message, then start typing receiver's name. select and you can talk about all the juicy stuff in private.

I'm not sure what behind the scenes stuff really even refers to on a site like this. Just doing the best I can navigating, getting thoughts out, sharing ideas! Did I start to talk about something inappropriate or weird?

There is an ESPN production 30 for 30 about Chris Herron. Not exactly sure what it's called.

But it is a good one to watch. I highly recommend it to anyone struggling with addiction.

Just kidding - you don't know my sense of humor. Sorry if I made you feel at all uncomfortable. That was not my intention.
Still pals?
