I can't stop

Please, how do you stop? If I have money, I buy beer. Do I need a God? Do I need to lock myself away? I hate being this way.

You need to focus on being Sober, 15mins at a time, that's all!!

Can you make it Sober for the next 15mins? . . . yes, of course you can, go from there, break it down and string it all together!!

You can do this, how did we become Sober, exactly the same way, start with NOW, go for 15mins and see what happens!!

If you can't very well find a way not to buy and drink alcohol, then maybe inpatient care is the answer...before jail becomes the option.

I had to accept that buying alcohol, even beer, was stopping me from who I wanbted to be.

I could reach my potential as a human being., or I could drink, but not both.

As other people have said if you can't do this on your own and you can't seem to get online here beforehand to let us help you through the cravings, then maybe you need face to face support like AA or one of the non 12 step meeting based alternatives like SMART or Lifering?

For me, I have to remove the opportunity. Maybe that means having a friend stay with you, take your money, debit and credit cards, or only go where you must go, on any given day, perhaps it is being locked up. Do what you have to do.

If you are in a bad enough place, you will find a way... If it's not bad enough yet, it will be much harder. Left to our own devices.... It's not a good situation. When you hurt bad enough you will find a way to stop... Until then...

Yeah I'd second inpatient. I know it might not work without insurance - how about you get insurance? Healthcare.gov I think it supposedly the way to go. Politics aside, just do it. Do something. When you get to the point where you're at, the most dangerous action is doing nothing. Good luck man.

Don't know where you live, but you may qualify for Medicaid since you don't have regular income. Some hospital-based rehabs will admit you, and then register you for Medicaid that will then retroactively pay for your stay in rehab.

Regardless of the situation, there are always choices.
