Hi all! I really appreciate you taking your time to reply! Ive never been on any forum before, so forgive me if im a bit slow.
I am just starting my sober journey. Its strange not drinking when I was so used to drinking everyday! Its like I have to learn to function normally and try to control my thoughts and emotions in a different way.
Im so lucky I have a supportive boyfriend and my best friend helps alot too. (We all live together).
I joined here to talk to others who know what its like to be addicted an I m very surprised that so many people have reached out.
I like to consider myself a happy and positive person who means no harm to anyone.
I work (extra) full time as an Ebusiness consultant for a large car company. By extra full time,i mean i only get 3 days off a fortnight! But i love my job despite the occasional stress.
I love animals and have a gorgeous Dog named Dodge ( he is starring as my avatar).
Anyways, i hope to stay here for a long time and i look forward to chatting wiith u all!

Hi 1 new creation! Thank you for the message! I have been considering AA for a while. I have just been much too stubborn to actually go. Though i am getting closer to putting my pride aside. Im really keen to go to a meeting but have been a bit scared. My car has been out of rego and the meeting around my area are not in the safest of suburbs. Due to my work schedual, i am only able to attend night meetings also.
MZ, It takes whatever it takes but a sober lifestyle has made my life much more enjoyable! There will always be bad days but you are able to cope much better sober, I promise! Have a great Easter! And keep fighting! Stay Strong and Well ! Bobby
