Passed small test?

Went to HEB passed the wine section and didn't think twice....then on past a pinkies on my right and didn't stop! Now in drinking tension tamer tea and watching Big Bang theory I hope I can keep this up! I want it!

Awesome! I had the same experience today, went to Walmart and for the first time in my adult life I didn't walk down the beer aisle.

and lucky you, we don't have HEB in this part of the state.

My son went to HEB earlier today to pick up some things for me so I didn't have to deal with the temptation. Actually, every store in this Texas town offers alcohol, even the Dollar Store. But I'm gonna have to deal with it.

Congrats to you, Christi!!! That's just awesome!!

I can't imagine trying to sober up in Texas where alcohol is sold everywhere, all the time...well, at least compared to here. In Oklahoma, we are so strict on regulations. Liquor or wine only sold in liquor stores, no liquor stores open on Sunday, and no alcohol sold at all between 2 am and 8 am.

I do have to drive by multiple liquor stores but I just use a "blinders" technique which seems to work for me. When I go to WalMart, I avoid the beer aisle but that also means I never eat chips, popcorn or peanuts (those are located on the same aisle).

actually its pretty dry in lots of parts of Texas. my hometown was dry til about 5 years ago. and still everything closes really early and closed on sunday, I couldn't imagine trying to recover living in Louisiana though. When I lived there going to college, you could buy everyday and only couldn't buy after 2am
