It was glorious,
miles and miles of golden sandy beach and very few people around . Walked about 8 miles in 4 hours around the salt marsh wetlands where the birds wade about , then up and down about a mile or two of beachfront . 2 hours to get there from the centre of London in the car 90 miles . 2 1/2 hours by train and the same back ..

All the beach huts painted pretty colours , each one someones idea of a jolly little "home from home" .

3 years ago i was drunk all the bank holiday weekend , mum fell over on the saturday after good friday and had a big swollen foot , she was drunk/ hungover in the morning so we thought we'd better not go up the hospital... i'd already had a morning "pick me up" so couldn't drive .. turns out she broke her foot ..

A very different bank holiday this year

Easter this year was kind to me. Last year I was high on cocaine and drinking. That was a year into my "sobriety". Go figure.

Thank you for the support.

If you are into your "sobriety" and drank like I once did... Have faith. Believe in yourself.

Early to bed early to rise for me.

Canadians hockey game about to begin so I'm pretty psyched! Today was an uneventful and relaxing day. Slow morning, lots of walks with the pup, sitting on the patio reading and dozing, yet another nap, and then a ride up north to pick up some equipment for the golf course. Missing my family but not going to drink over it.

A nice end to a wonderful weekend is watching the cat and dog team up to capture a fly. The fly narrowly escaped out the window.

I hope everyone is doing well!!

Well I just could not get off SR tonight. So much for early to bed.

Olive... Glad the fly won! When I see my little one going for a bug and can't stop him soon enough it's the licking of his lips that grosses me out.

Lol... Cats do have lips no?

Night!
