Just for Today
oh boy, here we go, I can't handle 12 steps and now there are 16?
Hi Rochel, I am curious. What step are you on? As far as I can tell only step 13 instructs us to take the steps (steps within the steps I assume) to "heal" our physical bodies. I suppose that's when we put down the drink?
Read freshstart57's post again. I like the 16 step approach. But until you make the decision to stop, the steps are nothing. Regardless of what program you choose to follow to aid in your sobriety, until you put down the drink, avoid the drink and make absolutely sure you do not want to drink all the steps in the world are not going to help anyone. That last sentence described a good step 1 to me. STOP/AVOID/COMMIT
It's what I have just now named the 'SAC' approach.
Do you have the SAC to get sober?
