Feels like I am posting here a lot today :P

Anyone else experienced placebo effect when in a setting you associate with drinking? This has happened to me on more than one occasion. I have gone to a bar to listen to my friend play music, order a virgin drink, and feel like I was getting buzzed off of it. I have been to a friend's house to have a night of card games with no alcohol and walk away feeling like we had a bunch to drink.

My husband has felt it too, it is the weirdest thing. Have any of you experienced that?

Yes, I've had feelings associated with places and or things that I used to do when drinking. It's certainly possible anyway.

The bigger question would be is this a problem for you? Does your recovery plan account for it?

I never had that but then again most of the things I did drinking I don't do anymore. I do get a ghost visit me now and then. I reach for my Coke and I get a ghost of reaching for a drink. Same in the fridge. I reach in to grab something and I get the ghost of grabbing the liquor bottle.

They are not as often as they used to be, but I still get them every once in a while.
