Day 27 clean and sober...

Got 27 days clean and sober today. When I look back to when I was using I feel so lost because I dont understand how I let things go so bad for so long. I feel great and Heroin never gave me this feeling ever. I just take excellent care of myself daily by Working out very hard and eating good every 2 hours with small high protein meals. Lost over 35 to 38 pounds already and gained a lot of muscle to where people are starting to come int my tattoo studio telling me how good i look and that they almost didn't recognize me. FEELS GREAT to know my goal of a positive change is working. Sleeping is still an issue along with my mind running wild worrying about things I've no control over now. Bought a good pair of self help books on HOW NOT TO TELL LIES because when i used I told terrible lies and I just wanna figure out why and how NEVER to do that again. Other then what you read Im fighting the fight and my armor of God is protecting me. HAVE A GREAT DAY...

Painless,

you sound great. That is a wonderful achievement and better still that you are working on yourself to maintain your sobriety.

Sobriety has it's own rewards

All the very best

Good job on 27 days Painless! It sounds like you have replaced using with exercise and good health via weight loss. Please remember to stay balanced as well. Don't push yourself too hard in the weight loss area. I am concerned that you are taking on too much in early sobriety. I think of the key phrase "Take it Easy" First things first and all that. I have tried to make too many changes before and gotten frustrated with "feeling deprived" of everything and gone back to drinking....so its just something to watch out for. Just be good to yourself and reward yourself for your efforts.
