Definitely First Time Around. It's been since the 6th Feb that I've had a drink. I did the AA route, and go occasionally to show my face and that about it. I don't have a problem staying away from it. My Marriage has gone south since then, well, to be honest since last year with many things going on in my life that has alienated me and my wife. I'm 44 years old, starting over again and full of sudden insecurities which I never felt with a glass in my hand, not that I can remember too much of whatever power I seemed to wield at that time. So, Hi, here's to the future. :a043: |
Welcome First time around and well done on your sober time xxxx |
alcohol was but a symptom, I'm the problem and if I don't change, I am most likely going to repeat my old patterns of behaving, sooner or later. why not try working the 12 steps? |
Welcome to the family. :) It's good to have you with us. And congrats on your sober time. Keep it up! :) |

It's great to meet you FirstTime. You aren't alone - and you're no failure. You reached out for some help and you are going to rise above this. |

Sorry you are going thru this. There's a lot of variables here, the most important is yourself, and your sobriety. Whatever your plan, it requires actions, not words. Do your part, worry about your sobriety, your reasons for doing it, and make sure it's for you. When we try to change for others, it usually never lasts. Drinking numbed the problem, sobriety makes us feel it. It's not always happy times, but it's worth it. |
