A phone call that I needed
 

Normally I don't pick up the phone if I don't know the number but someone called me today and I felt I needed to pick it up. The person on the other end began reading scripture and read a passage about no longer hurting and no longer suffering. I didn't bother asking what religion she was because at that moment I didn't care. I listened to whole passage and she prayed for me. Religious or not ( I am ), it was what I needed as early days in soberiety are tough and it was a good reminder that there is a reason fot all this. Any other time, I may have hung up on her, but I felt compelled to.listen. It was a pivotal moment in my journey and for some reason I feel uplifted. Blessed be.
