I'm going to be honest... my experience in going to the hospital in America is that you sit in the ER for 8 hours with no help ... no rehydration and no meds for anxiety to assist in detox. That is if you are not having seizers and such...
If you have someone who can just sit with you as you get through the anxiety with what you already have for meds and drink lots of water (and of course a phone if you should run into big problems) that might be a better bet on getting through this in a humane way.
Always talk to your doctor (call and let him/her know what is going on, even if just through an answering service), and always call an ambulance if needed (done it myself), and don't try to do it without someone with you (in case things go south).
Hope I haven't crossed the medical advise line ... and if I had happily the mods will remove this post

since you have the internet, there IS someone you can call. Look up the Florida AA hotline number for your area. They are trained to help. That is how THEY stay sober, by helping someone else. You can remain anonymous and they can assist you if you need medical help.

Could be worse 2much! I just ate a McDonald's because I am late home and couldn't be bothered to cook, now I am left feeling a little queasy and feeling bad thinking about the poor animals living conditions at Ronald's farm! Bleggghhhhh!
Seriously though hope you doing better!

I'm glad you were ok, and sorry you weren't helped, but if you'd stroked out or had a seizure in those 8 hours you were in the right place for it, Nands.
ER's also the only medical facility a lot of our members have any access to....so on balance I still think it's a good call, and, I have to disagree Nands, I think it's still generally a better call than a friend minding you.
D
A Hundred drinks won't help 2Much, go for a walk in a park or something, take notice of the world from sober eyes, see other people and kids smiling doing things other than drinking, it helped me after thinking in the negative for years! There are great things in sobriety and a whole bunch of them are right under your skin , in you! Find something that gives you enjoyment and run with it ! You CAN DO IT! I KNOW YOU CAN ! Stay Strong and Well! Bobby
