Lurking in the corners
Good morning. I've been one of those silent people on this site. I've gotten so much insight and help so finally decided to sign up so I could participate. I don't really have anybody in my life that totally understands, but have found it here.

The people here at SR are knowledgeable and supportive and have been down the same drunken path as I have. As a result, this place has been my main resource for staying sober.

I feel very comfortable here. There aren't many people in my life who 'get it'. . . although they really try. Thank you for the welcome. Like I said, I've been here reading and reading, but never spoke up.
Here's to learning and growing, right?!

Hi, Altoids. I understand you are 'curiously strong', but whether this is true or maybe it is wishful thinking, it doesn't matter. You already are everything you need to be to quit drinking - you have what it takes already, within you.
