He needed a ride
I was sitting here reading the forum. I made wife late lunch before her evening class. Then I knew I had to clean up kitchen etc. I had no intention of leaving the house tonight. Too much to do here. Then b-ball game to watch.
I get a text: ru going to meeting tonight and can you pick me up?
I reply: Do you need to go to a meeting? (stupid question)
He: Yeah, but if ur not going I'll try to find a ride
ME: pick you up at 630
I drop everything take a quick shower and out the door. So I go to the meeting. Chair didn't show up. So I chaired the meeting too.
Funny how things happen.
Anyway, thought I'd share that. It was a good meeting too.
Well game on - I'm watching on my samsung app now - time to watch on big screen and eat pizza! and drink carrot juice -- later

I also ended up chairing at a few meetings in my first 40 days awhile back, when someone didn't show up and it sure was a Good Feeling. To get more involved in the Service Aspect of AA was really Nice-Seemed more fulfilling to Me...
