Day 30
First off I am a chronic relapser, last run was 37 days, lifetime record is just over three months sobriety. I am on day 30 now, feeling good but a little disappointed; life seems so boring, days just drag, can't concentrate well- but hangin' in there I guess another 30 anyway...
like I expected a parade or something, eh ?

30 days is awesome! You learned to live with booze so you are now programed to associate fun with it. You have to reprogram yourself.
That will take time.
Look around you many people live a perfectly happy life's without Alcohol. So give yourself a chance to accumulate good experiences sober that you can relate to. Your only point of reference if like me since 18 year old, to have fun it takes booze. 20 years later.
Good luck

Dear edeneen,
First Congrats on your 30 days
It starts getting better and better
But my advice is not just stopping for a while drinking, etc etc...
You need to make changes in your life to stay sober!!!
Changes in the way you see things that upset you, scares you, etc.
Start making plans, join healthy activities to keep you occupied,
you need to focus on other stuff... pick up a hobby, join classes, learn something,...
Do something you always wanted!!!
Do not sit and expect things to change, you need to change pro actively!
I am not telling you off, I am telling you what I am learning myself!
Well done in your 30 days Keep going!!!

What are you good at? What made you smile when you were young? You can rediscover those things and bring them into your life. For me it was learning the names of all the birds, plants, and other animals. I started reading again. I started moving again. I started to have dreams again. The parade is waiting to come down Main St. for you. Let it flow
