Valuable lesson from a bad avocado

So I am closing in on 2 years alcohol free and the voice finally started for me. Yesterday was literally the first time that I thought "I wonder what would happen if..." And tonight, while these thoughts are still rattling around my head, I put a very old and rancid avocado on my turkey burger and now have a fresh reminder of one of the many physical symptoms of withdrawal/detox. I never thought that I would be glad to have a ferret thrashing around in my belly.

You had me at bad avocado. Had to see what that was about.

Yep. Withdrawal, detox, self loathing, hangovers...etc etc...we can have it all back. Nothing has changed. Alcohol has not changed. It will do again what it did before.

I'm glad you just got a bad avocado! High 5 on the 2 years!

Oh, ack!

Although, if you got a reminder of one reason not to drink, at least there is a lesson learned.

I hope you feel better soon!

Congrats on 2 years!

Just wondering, how did you not know the avocado was bad? I eat tons of avocados.

Thanks for the reminder though.
