Eating for Australia

Ok so now I'm on Day 5. Still hard but my appetite has returned with a vengeance and I seem to just want to eat and eat and eat! Has anyone had this as part of their withdrawal...does it settle down? I'm wondering if I need to join a gym to curb any weight gain....I really don't want to end up the size of a house.
Oh and I no longer believe Herbal Tea tastes like ass...I've found a really nice Lemon and ginger flavour I like :-)

I also ate a lot for a while. Didn't bother me tho cause I was underweight to begin with so the weight gain was good. My appetite returned to normal after a few weeks.

I did have an increased appetite but only for a couple of days.

If you must eat just try and do it healthy. Gym will only get you part of the way even in good conditions.

totally normal, just try not to let it get our of hand, don't want to replace one obsession with another. For me I got a terrible sweet tooth I have to watch- why can't we get cravings for vegetables?!?

I ate a lot when I first stopped. Like least I was terribly underweight. I was consuming all my calories in alcohol. It has evened out and returned to a normal balance except for the sweets. Now I have to be mindful of them.

I have more of a sweet tooth than normal.

I justify it away quite easily though

Bar of chocolate = 200 cals

Bottle of wine = 500 cals

Chocolate wins.

Things settle down in time. I still have more of a sweet tooth however which I never had growing up or when I was drinking.

In sobriety I had to find things to do- SR filled a big gap for me- now I have a lot more on, and exercise is part of my life- but I did eat a lot of chocolate in the first six months

First I have to say I eat for Australia, but you are welcome to my title.
I've 'conquered' alcohol for now but it seems I have to have something, and food is it. I haven't put on weight but I haven't lost it either.
If you can get to the gym, probably the way to go.
