Pinot, I just wanted to pop in and offer you more support. It truly does escalate so quickly. But only if we take that first drink. Believe me, I know the lies the AV can tell you - that it will only be a few drinks, that you deserve it, that it will only be for today. But what we do is feed the addiction and we can get back to where we were before we know it, regardless of how much sober success we have had.
If AA works for you, then you should do whatever you can to get there, or even look into the online meetings on days you can't physically be there.
