Things can be going completely wonderful, but then the loneliness starts and then I start to have a huge pity party for myself. Time helps, but I know I really have to force myself to venture out with my friends. It's like pulling teeth, why is this so hard? I thought the hard part was over, getting sober.

I guess you're feeling lonely, but don't want to go out with your friends? Why don't you do something different then? You could give back with volunteer work in your community, get involved in a book club, join a sport team, whatever works for you.
