scared to death

I had three weeks sober and I drank again, went on a three day bender. I'm on day three sober yet again. I'm going to do AA this time. I don't want to drink. I love being sober. Starting to feel better but i need to dedicate myself to a program. also my palms are all red?? i've been a heavy drinker for 3 years, i'm 25, is it the beginning of liver damage? i'm scared

We cant give medical advice hun, can you get to see a dr if youre scared? I used to get itchy palms, it could be anything, if youre sweating out alcohol it can irritate your skin, but really dont suffer being scared if its bothering you, get some medical advice

Hi thelonghaul

None of us are Drs - and Dr Google will only freak you out.
if you're worried you need to see a real Dr., if only for your peace of mind

Congratulations on day three.
I was a chronic relapser, so I know where you're coming from.
AA is a great idea I hope you do go. It is so worth it. Have you been before?
There's nothing to be afraid of. You don't have to say anything, except maybe that this is your first meeting, if you don't want to.

You're young. Please don't wait to quit and go through the thirty years of drunken life that I did. If you can call that living.
If you're anything like me, your drinking will progress and the binges will get closer and closer together.
Save yourself. You don't have to do it alone.

Best to you.

glad you are getting back on track. Worrying will only scare you more. Going to AA or an active program sounds like a great idea

Just get checked out by a doctor to be safe. Don't stress about it though. The human body can take a ton of punishment... if it didn't I wouldn't be here.

You are at a great age to get sober. I didn't figure it out until I was 40. You're doing great to realize things that young.
