Hey
Hey
The 17th I made 8 months sober, I have no desire whatsoever to drink and the idea of it altering my mind makes me sick. I have been in AA most of the time but now I feel that I want to do other things with my time. I get out of work late and the few hrs before my bed time I want it to be for me. I don't think I will be continuing with AA. Anyone here that have done the same?
I started with AA in my early recovery but no longer go to meetings. I find that my counseling sessions and this site are all the help I need to stay sober.
Congrats on 8 months sober!
Congrats on 8 months sober!
Congrats on 8 months!
I'm right there with least on this. I attended AA faithfully in the beginning, stopped going so much around month 3 or 4 and am almost 10 months sober and doing fine. I still attend meetings periodically. This board and my daughter are my support system.
No one can answer your question but you and there's extreme importance in being honest with yourself. If your post is honest then no one has the right to judge how you choose to stay sober.
There's no wrong way to be sober as long as you're not drinking and honestly happy about it. Don't let anyone tell you any different. This is your life and your sobriety.
