New here

I have struggled for years. In and out of AA. Honestly have not ever given 100%. Now risk losing my husband and family if I don't get it together. People said this would happen. I truly believe he can not handle me drinking one more time. I am so tired of this cycle. Went to a meeting at noon and going to another at five. Nervous because my old sponsor may be there and I am embarrassed. Not enough to stay away. I feel so much better sober. Day 1 again after messing up yesterday and throwing 9 days away. Thanks for reading.

Welcome lastchance! We are here to support & encourage you. You found a great place.

I kept drinking until I'd made everyone disgusted with me. I was spinning out of control all the time in the end. I drank all day & was miserable - never high or happy. I was more than ready to reach out for a sober life and rejoin the human race. It sounds like you are too. You can do it.

Welcome lastchance

You'll find a lot of support here.

I hope you can find it in you to quit for you, not your husband or your family, but you - you deserve better too.

welcome!

I also kept drinking until I pushed almost everyone out of my life.

You just have to make it through today... worry about tomorrow tomorrow.

You can do it!

Welcome, Lastchance!

I remember being the very same position you were in and I hated myself and everything in my life. I was overwhelmed and just about out of hope. But, I know for sure that you can do this and be the person you want to be.

Welcome!! you will love it here! Check out the books list too. Once you read about what alcohol does to you it really helps to stay sober.

Thank you all for the welcomes and advice. Bernice I have in fact checked out the book. Thank you.
Day 3. Starting to get my bearings back. My x sponsor was not at the meetings but others from the past welcomed me with open arms.
For some reason my husband still loves me but I KNOW I can not do this to any of us again. Such a waste and risk.
Question. How do I "like" someone's post? Wanted to on a few but couldn't find how.
Thanks again for the welcome and support.
