I have struggled for years. In and out of AA. Honestly have not ever given 100%. Now risk losing my husband and family if I don't get it together. People said this would happen. I truly believe he can not handle me drinking one more time. I am so tired of this cycle. Went to a meeting at noon and going to another at five. Nervous because my old sponsor may be there and I am embarrassed. Not enough to stay away. I feel so much better sober. Day 1 again after messing up yesterday and throwing 9 days away. I kept drinking until I'd made everyone disgusted with me. I was spinning out of control all the time in the end. I drank all day & was miserable - never high or happy. I was more than ready to reach out for a sober life and rejoin the human race. It sounds like you are too. You can do it.

I remember being the very same position you were in and I hated myself and everything in my life. I was overwhelmed and just about out of hope. But, I know for sure that you can do this and be the person you want to be.

I have been reading a book called "The untethered soul" You may like it.
I had to find things to do to fill my time, I draw and visit this site and read. I also go to AA and it does help me. God loves you!

Day 3. Starting to get my bearings back. My x sponsor was not at the meetings but others from the past welcomed me with open arms.
For some reason my husband still loves me but I KNOW I can not do this to any of us again. Such a waste and risk.
Question. How do I "like" someone's post? Wanted to on a few but couldn't find how.

Welcome last chance, I have been where you are, it is so difficult and many people had enough and turned their back on me. The support on here is phenomenal so keep posting. Be strong. You dont have to be a slave to drink anymore....you can beat it.
