What do you mean?

Raider 03-14-2014 09:25 AM

Sure I did. Moderated for awhile. Then stopped, then crash and burned. The answer is NO!

Jade1224 03-14-2014 09:27 AM

That's a weird question for me.

I can and I have but not all the time.

I can if I have responsibilities or if im on a date I wont get drunk. Or if I commit to two drinks I CAN do it but sometimes I just dont care.

Plus I try and stop for a week and then I cant. I cant "take it or leave it".

And I have had phases where im just like screw my life and I binge more than I should.

Drinking normally almost always leads to binging eventually.

You've asked the one billion dollar question!

heath480 03-14-2014 09:35 AM

I am an Alcoholic, drinking is not an option for me.

Joe Nerv 03-14-2014 09:38 AM

Not me.

asking if problem drinkers can moderate around here is like asking if pedophiles can be rehabbed and fixed. the answer is..how dare you ask!

This last attempt which was over about a period of a year and a big "No".

I started with a 200 ml of Rum and a six pack and gradually felt myself getting more and more jittery so wittle down to 100ml and a six pack..and so on down to 50ml to just Ok I better just cut out the rum during the week. That's Insanity.

I felt like my body was a bar of soap and alcohol was a wood carver. Doesn't work for me.

countrysidegirl 03-14-2014 09:43 AM

In my personal opinion nope.
If i have one can that's it i drink and drink till I'm passed out or vomiting , even then i still go for it,
Sadly and i have fought it once you have a problem complete dryness is needed , your playing a dangerous game otherwise.....

Have a nice day :)

There is nothing wrong with asking a question. If someone cant handle that question without getting emotional then that's not your problem. curiosity is not malicious.

Raider 03-14-2014 09:57 AM

Well I wish I could moderate. Trouble was, when I moderated, I thought about it way too much. People who can just moderate, don't have to put forth the effort I had to. Even as I was doing it, I knew in the back of my mind that I would crash and burn eventually. And I did. Anyway ask whatever you want. Blessings.

Chilledice 03-14-2014 09:58 AM

Thank you Mits78 :)

caboblanco 03-14-2014 10:03 AM

I have nothing against moderation..i was just warning you...you can say whatever you want
